Monday, 21 July 2008

Certainly one of the largest numbers of inmates involved in step-study groups, the Richwood Correctional Center (RCC) has approximately 120 men participating in step-studies.  Of course the unique thing is that they are being led by 14 other inmates who completed the study last year.  All of the men reside in the faith-based dorms at RCC where conduct is exemplified by...

John and the CRI team also coordinate and help facilitate step-studies for 40 men at the Ouachita Correctional Center.  This happens to be their second go-around with step-studies and new participants as this ministry continues to grow.   Women at OCC aren’t far behind with their second step-study up and running as well.

Finally, the local CR is working on establishing a Re-entry facility that has been provided on White’s Ferry Road Church property in West Monroe and they’ve planned CR in the park event at Kiroli Park hosted by WFR to network and help expand the number of churches doing CR in the local community.

John and the Team are asking for your prayers and support to continue growing this ministry with more volunteers in more prison/jail facilities.  Any questions about what’s going on in Louisiana, please contact John at 318-372-5583 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
